A simple swipe to the right.

I love that some of my couples “happily ever after story” begins with thanks to a super clever algorithm and a simple swipe to the right.

Followed by a meet up for a coffee… in a very public place of course.

So how do you go about finding your perfect wedding supplier match?

Maybe it involves a little facebook or instagram stalking …or maybe some time googling to find out who Hobart’s best wedding florists, celebrants, photographer and cake makers are?

Maybe you don’t have time to plan a catch up in person with your selected & lucky shortlisted suppliers.

Or maybe you are stuck in lock-down and still want to plan your wedding but can’t get out to physically meet and select your Tassie wedding supplier team..

That is why I decided to edit a little celebrant speed dating Q&A

Mainly to save you some time but also more importantly to help keep your wedding planing as stress-free as possible.

You wont be able to swipe right (or left) –

But if you do have any questions at all about my ceremony style or anything at all… please be sure to get in touch!

I’d love to get to know a little bit about you both.

How you met, what it is that you love about each other and all the things that brought you to this amazing moment in time where you made the decision to get married Hobart.

Take 5 minutes to find a little more about me and see if I may be the right celebrant for you both.

What do you love most about your job?

So many things but….I really love meeting up with my couples to find out what makes them “them”…then finding ways to make sure both of their unique personalities and style are represented in their wedding ceremony.

Oh… and I love that my profession means that I never need and excuse to buy a new dress.

How do you describe your Ceremony style?

My ceremonies are best described as “traditional with some modern twists”

So, we still have the traditional elements in the ceremony like the walk down the aisle, the vows and the rings, but I love to add in some modern and personal twists based on what my coupes tell me about themselves.

What is your specialty?

I am a details kinda girl –

You know the kind of person that just “sees things” but not in the The Sixth Sense crazy kinda way 👻
But important wedding day things like ~
  • Your Nan needing a drink of water or a seat in the shade,
  • your mother in law needing a little bit of extra attention to help settle her nerves,
  • a button hole flower on your groom’s jacket that is completely off center and needs adjusting.
  • And a HUGE one is making sure you both are positioned in the center of your aisle way so it does not throw all of your ceremony photos off center.
Because those are the kind of things that sometimes can make the big difference.

I also have custom vow card for my couples to read from on the day – so there is no tacky “repeat after me” moments.

And I love to take a #justmarried polaroid pic of all my couples straight after their group photo to give them to put on their fridge the very next day.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

My industry peers.

I believe in community over competition and am a proud member of Isle Weddings

Isle Weddings is a community of like minded Hobrat wedding professional who love to share ideas and inspiration with other amazing wedding professionals that want to deliver great wedding day celebrations in Hobart and surrounding areas.

What’s your best wedding planning tip?

Book professionals and make sure you eat breakfast and lunch while getting ready.

You will need lots of energy to make sure you enjoy every moment of the day.

What’s the best thing to happen to you at a wedding?

I really love it when family and friends come up to me after the ceremony and tell me that the wedding ceremony was the best ceremony that they have been to and that it was a perfect fit for the couple.

It is also really great when all the guests a fully present in the moment too with no phones so they can go completely unplugged.

They are just so happy and ready to party hard with one of the best couples they know.

What was the worst thing you have seen happen at a wedding?

I have seen a MC pass out drunk in the garden before the reception had even started.

Lesson here is don’t have an open bar that includes spirits before the speeches.

Poor guy must have been so nervous!

I have also see a Bride and Groom’s adorable doggo pee mid vows..

Yep, right up the front where everyone could see.

Their fur child kinda stole the show for a few moments and all we could do is luagh.

What is something you are proud of?

My husband Glen and I created  Australia’s only groom focused online wedding resource in Australia.

I am a big believer that a wedding day celebration should reflect two peoples personalities and style.

Groomology is there to inspire more guys get involved in adding their personality and style to their wedding day.

This free resource has all the info the guys need to know and nothing they don’t.

It also has a free vow writing and speech writing kit.

Where is your favourite place to spend time in Hobart?
