5 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR CEREMONY UNIQUE

MAKE UP YOUR OWN “RITUAL”

Let’s put a twist on the ever popular “ring warming” by making it unique to you both.

Kim and Scott met at a poker tournament – so I suggested a “card warming” where we added an engagement pic to the back of a deck of playing cards.  The deck was passed around their family and friends, during the ceremony, where they all “wished big for the happy couple playing for keeps”. I then asked Kim and Scott to cut the deck to see who read their vows first.

PERSONAL VOW CARDS

I like to add a little touch to the back of my couples’ vow cards.

Adam use to travel 6 hours on a bus to see his bride when they started dating, so I printed a little map to show the journey he took from Childers to Brisbane. It was a cute note that represented the journey their lives had taken to that moment.

PRIVATE VOWS?

Not too keen on getting up and sharing your personal vows with everyone?

You can exchange your wedding vows in a private note. Perhaps a sealed envelope that you give to each other on your wedding night to read in private. You can design your envelope to reflect your own personality.

KIDS “SEAL OF APPROVAL”

If you have little kids that you want to include in your ceremony, but don’t know how, one idea is to get them to add their “seal of approval” to a family wedding certificate.

SPILL THE BEANS!

Give me as much information on your questionnaire as possible. I want to know about those little things that make you two go together like milk and cookies.

Mel and Todd loved watching Pixar and Disney movies together and decided to go to Disneyland for their honeymoon. So I customised their “I Do’ section to read: “Todd will you take Mel to be your lawful wedded wife, will you love, cherish and honour her – to infinity and beyond?” They loved it!

Every couple is different and each has those little things that make them unique.

I understand it’s those little things that make a big difference. I will design your ceremony so you, and your guests, will think “Wow, that was so you!” I’d love to work with you to create a unique ceremony that is a true reflection of you both.
